Stavri Dimitrov This paper presents an example application of the linear programming method for solving an optimization task in the field of the urban passenger carriages.
In detail an example is described, in which using MS Excel Solver new urban passenger transport routes are organized and the optimum number of buses moving on the separate routes, ensuring a minimum total transportation costs, has been found.
