The subject of the analytic study in this paper concerns the reliability indices of systems with multiply reserved elements. The formulas of reliability indices with .hot. and .cold. reservation have been worked out. The examinations made on the basis of theoretical analysis involve a range of practically interesting primary reliability parameters of information systems. A comparative analysis of by-element and system reservation has been done and the advantage of the latter related to reliability has been established.
