![]() INFLUENCE OF INDUCTION CRUBICLE FURNACE INDUGA MFT CU 18000 ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEL QUALITY INDICATORS IN THE ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OF „SOFIA MED“ COPPER ALLOY FACTORY
Boris Vassov, Georgi Pavlov In the „Sofia Med“ copper alloy factory, there is a high consumption of reactive energy. This is due to the electrical equipment and the specific technological processes in the production of copper and copper alloys.
The first task of the process to reduce the reactive energy consumption and to improve the power factor will be to identify the high energy consuming consumers in the plant, that have a negative impact on the quality of the electricity, whereafter they will be studied and analyzed. This report examines one of the main consumers of electricity - this is an induction crucible furnace MFT Cu 18000, which is used for copper alloys melting and casting. There is a brief deion of the furnace and its characteristics. Quantitative and qualitative indicators of voltage and current on the MV side were recorded, using a three-phase network analyzer Kyoritsu KEW 6315. The record has a duration of one operating cycle, which s melting the metal, alloying and casting. The operating cycles are repeated without interruption. The furnace stops only for scheduled repairs or in case of an accident.
