We all live in a dynamic and transforming world and see the pace at which the information and communication technologies are changing. Mankind has entered a new information age where globalization in all spheres of public life changes the conditions for their functioning. The processes related to the information revolution and globalization have also affected the higher education. For modern higher education, the continuous changes are becoming a natural state. The transformations occurring in the business environment as well as the emergence of qualitatively new educational concepts and technologies higher education institutions to make changes leading to an effective adaptation to the new circumstances. Reforms are conducted in a dynamic environment through the implementation of new paradigms, approaches and concepts that ensure competitiveness of universities. This article analyzes the challenges faced by the higher education in the context of the information society and globalization of our time, and on this basis outlines the guidelines for improving the quality of the educational service in the Higher School of Transport ”T. Kableshkov ”.
