RISK ASSESSMENT OF THE RAILWAY MACHINERY WORKPLACE

Lyubomir Dimitrov, Slavlavub Aleksic, Ivan Milenov, Maya Ljubic, Georgi Dimitrov

Continuous exposure to high noise levels, vibrations, as well as poor microclimatic conditions may lead to severe and/or chronic health problems. A large number of studies have shown that for example electro-magnetic waves in the lower spectrum can have numerous negative effects on health. The purpose of our study is to evaluate the health risk that train drivers are exposed to at their work place during their working life. The results of the evaluation clearly show that train drivers work under increased health risks and specific working conditions.
