The aim of the report is to examine and summarize the information regarding the main types of ballast structures and to identify opportunities for an implementation of a system under newly constructed tunnels. The used approach is related to a selection of the base criteria and in analysis of the main parameters and characteristics of the structure. During the creation of the system data has been used from a number of studies and data analysis.
