![]() DYNAMIC STABILITY OF A CIRCULAR PIPE, SUPPORTED ON AN LINEAR-ELASTIC SUPPORT AT ITS END
Dimitar Lolov In this paper is investigated the in-plane stability of a circular pipe. Linear-elastic spring support is attached at one of its ends. The pipe is assumed inextensible. The flowing fluid in the pipe is heavy, incompressible and has a constant velocity. The matrix method is employed in solving the problem. The influence of the stiffness of the spring support on the critical fluid velocity is investigated.
