CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CONDITIONS OF NAVIGATION ON THE RIVER DANUBE AND DETERMINATION OF THEIR IMPORTANCE FOR THE RIVER FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION
Petya Koralova The paper is devoted to the characteristics of conditions of navigation on the river Danube as a section of Pan-European transport corridor VII. In this regard special attention is paid to the analysis of the correlations between current status of inland waterways and the technical and operational characteristics of inland vessels. In the study are inspected the limitations and restrictions that exist in terms of navigation, which influence the cargo volumes, transported via inland waterways.
