Dynamic Stability of Pipes (As Continuous Beams) Conveying Fluid and Lying on Elastic Supports

The dynamic stability of pipes conveying fluid is investigated. They are modeled as cantilevered pipes with additional linear elastic supports transversally to the axis of the pipe. The critical fluid velocity and the circular frequency are determined in the case of the flutter loss of stability. The influence of the increasing of the number of the spans to the critical flow velocity is investigated.
