Propellants are a part of substances and objects included in .Hazardous Loads. and this requires observation of exactly defined conditions. Non-observance of those conditions may lead to partial or complete damage of propellants, packaging or vehicles, as well as to consequences for the environment.

Gas permeability of carbon dioxide and nitrogen as neutral gases and water penetrability of propellants were investigated with the purpose of analysing the destruction processes, the disturbance of their quality and the environmental hazard for the air.
