LEXICAL GENETIC CHARACTERISTICS OF RUSSIAN CARGO TERMINOLOGY
Nina Dimitrova The emergence of cargo transportation has deep historical roots. The first means of transport were for land - carts and wagons, in which people harnessed animals - and by sea, which made possible the transportation of goods over long distances. The modern history of cargo transportation started in the middle of the XIX century. The invention of railways, and in the twentieth century - the emergence of road and air transport contributed to the acceleration of cargo delivery process. Today, every kind of transport plays its important role in providing urban, intercity and international delivery.
The history of transportation encompasses not only the development of transport, but also the improvement of technology, the formation of an integrated approach to transportation, inclusion of insurance, customs clearance, documentation preparation, storage, etc. The process of improving cargo transportation, as well as any other sphere of human activity is accompanied by the continuous emergence of new concepts and words denoting them. Thus, the formation of modern terminology system has had a long history and is a result of the influence of linguistic and extra-linguistic factors.
