Eurocode 7, the new Euro standard for geotechnical design, is must to be introduced in Bulgaria in 2010. This paper presents design methodology of Eurocode 7 regarding to the bearing capacity of the soil. Comparison of Eurocode 7 and Bulgarian standard and the differences between them was shown here.Bearing capacity of the spread foundations is designing in two types of soil conditions - drained and undrained. Bulgarian national annex of the Eurocode 7 -1 have to be filling out and clarifying in order to make easier the geotechnical design process in our country.
