Systems of measuring the load on wheels of DMU and EMU trainsets (SIEMENS AG Transportation System Trains) have been designed, developed, examined and implemented in the BDZ locomotive sheds in Sofia and Varna. The paper presents the principle structure of the device electric measuring system and the developed algorithms and software for the system operation. The first device is situated in Varna and was set in operation in 2005 after being certified by Deutsche Bahn AG. The second device is in Sofia and has been in operation since the end of 2008.
