A device for testing wagon bogies has been designed, developed, examined and implemented in Transwagon AD in the town of Bourgas. The paper presents the theoretical fundamentals of the finite elements method and the methods of computer-aided modeling to solve engineering tasks of strained and deformed conditions. It describes the design of the device metal structure as well as the accomplished strength and deformation computations of the device structure using a 3D model by the finite elements method and Cosmos Design Star software.
