The factors, influencing the natural ventilation of tunnels, are described and the limit of their reliability is determined. The systems of artificial ventilation are treated and the spheres of their application are outlined. The two main methods for calculating the amount of fresh air are given: a/ according to the CO2 content and equalized with it noxious gases and b/ according to the smoking degree.
