SUMMARIES OF EMERGING RESIDUAL STRESSES. IDEA AND RESEARCH RELATED TO SPECIFIC BENEFITS IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Nikolay Tontchev, Velichko Machev

The study substantiates the feasibility of Barkhausen Noise (BHN) analysis as a suitable technique and tool used as an evaluation of the properties of iron-based materials. Evidence is found that layer depth, with different structures, causes residual stresses of different value. The studies cited in this study have been validated by classical methods, which gives reason to consider that the proposed approach can actually be applied as a reliable means of guaranteeing the desired accuracy.
