The Three Seas Initiative is a regional platform for cooperation between 12 Central and Eastern European countries located between the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Seas. The aim of the initiative is to promote regional integration and stimulate economic development through cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, energy, digitalisation and tourism. Since its inception, the Three Seas Initiative has made significant progress in strengthening cooperation between member countries and implementing numerous infrastructure projects. Regular summits are held to discuss and plan new projects and assess progress on ongoing ones. Financial support for the projects comes both from the member countries themselves and from external partners such as the European Union and the United States.

The Three Seas Project provides opportunities for significant investment in transport infrastructure, which s the construction and modernisation of roads, railways, ports and airports. For example, a transport corridor linking the Baltic and Black Seas via Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.

A railway linking Poland with the Baltic States and integrating the region into the European rail network.

In the field of energy, the aim is again to improve energy security and connectivity between member states through the development of gas and electricity transmission infrastructure.

Again, as an example, a gas pipeline linking the gas networks of Greece and Bulgaria, providing access to alternative sources of gas.

Integration of the Baltic energy markets with those of the rest of Europe.

Digital infrastructure is a key aspect of the Three Seas Initiative, the aim here being to improve access to high-speed internet and stimulate innovation in digital technologies. An opportunity for a project that will provide high speed internet connections between member states.
