DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A PANEL FOR POWER SUPPLY AND CONTROL OF HIGH-VOLTAGE TEST EQUIPMENT

Every specialty in higher schools, preparing electrical engineers for the power industry, must study the subject ”High voltage technology”. A well-equipped laboratory for high-voltage tests, such as built at ”Todor Kableshkov” University of Transport, is necessary for the quality education of students. The aim is, by carrying out practical research, for the trainees to become familiar with the qualities and characteristics of various electrical insulation materials and with the processes that take place in high-voltage apparatus and equipment during their working and emergency modes. In order to ensure the safe conduct of practical classes in the laboratory, it is necessary to build a panel for remote control the test equipment.

The report presents the process of designing and building a control panel for power supply and control of the equipment in the test field of the high voltage laboratory. Attention has been paid to some specific ments to ensure safety when conducting the tests. The algorithm for controlling the operation of the high-voltage equipment was considered, on the basis of which the electrical schemes for power supply and control were developed and the control panel was made.
