DEVELOPMENT OF A SIMULATION MODEL OF A GROUND VEHICLE
Nikola Makedonski A model of a ground vehicle was developed, including mass, aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance and road gradient resistance. It is possible to connect several models in such a way as to simulate rolling stock, articulated bus, articulated trolleybus, etc. The model also s a driver through which a driving cycle is simulated, including standardized ones, for example a standardized urban bus test cycle. Using the possibility to set the route of the vehicle (inclination of the different sections, distance), the profile of the mechanical power and, accordingly, the energy drawn, stored and given by the vehicle can be determined. The possibilities for improving the model are great. Different types of electric propulsion can be d, with different types of electric motors, different types of motor management, gearboxes, batteries, etc.
