CONCEPTUAL PROJECT FOR THE CREATION OF A SOLAR-DRIVEN ELECTRIC CAR

The report presents an idea to create a prototype of an electric vehicle using solar panels as an energy source. A rechargeable battery is also provided to provide power in case of shading or lack of power from the solar panels. The presence of a battery enables recuperation (regeneration of energy when braking) as well as the use of the vehicle as an electric car. A mains charger is also available.

Approximate calculations have been made for some technical parameters, such as:

- solar power,

- battery power,

- dimensions of the vehicle,

- effective solar area of the roof,

- specific power of a glass and polymer solar panel,

- solar power per unit area,

- all installed power on the roof of the vehicle.
