ANALYSIS OF THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RECOVERY OF ITS MOVABLE COMPONENT OF THE THIRD METRO DIAMETER IN THE SECTION MS 318 – MS 314

On April 24, 2021, part of the M3 metro line between the stations ”Bul. Tsar Boris III / Krasno Selo” and ”Gorna Banya”. In the present report, the analysis of energy consumption and recuperation, which applies to the section between MC 318 - MC 314, has been made. The energy consumption of the traction rolling stock in operating mode has been examined in relation to the current location of each metro train in the considered section with a total length of 3805, 04 m. The design of separate road sections of the Metropolitan and subsequently their operation under different conditions s knowledge of the main specificities, regularities and peculiarities of both the road section itself and its supply and operation by the rolling stock. Energy efficiency depends on and varies with basic parameters such as weight, travel speed, acceleration, coasting and braking. Another main factor influencing the energy efficiency is the length of the section and the way of their electricity supply, the profile of the road and the curves, determine the need to develop a method for determining the energy efficiency of the road sections.

The subject of this report is the analysis of the energy consumption and recovery of the traction rolling stock in the section between MC 318 - MC 314.
