METHODOLOGY FOR ASSESSING THE TECHNICAL CONDITION OF HYBRID AND ELECTRIC VEHICLES ACCORDING TO THE ACCELERATION CRITERION
Slavcho Bozhkov, Ivan Milenov, Roman Petrov, Viktor Kiselev Modern hybrid electric vehicles and electric vehicles have high demands on power, economy, environmental efficiency, and range length on a single charge – a fuel tank or traction battery. Achieving these ments is a major goal of car manufacturers, as well as a criterion of consumer choice. In turn, the performance, economic and environmental performance of a hybrid vehicle and an electric vehicle have a close interconnection and can change both in production and in their technical operation. Their determination is often related to various methods that provide information about the general technical condition of hybrid and electric vehicles. One of these methods is the measurement of acceleration, which is a direct indicator of the power and torque of the hybrid powerplant of the hybrid car, composed of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor and the electric powerplant of the electric vehicle, consisting of an electric motor, a controller, and a traction battery. The data obtained serve as a common assessment of the two types of vehicles, which can serve as a basis for comparing different models of hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as for momentary and predictive analysis.
