Building knowledge, skills, and human resource behaviour patterns takes time. Climate change s urgent action and a change in attitude towards natural resources. Transport sector, as a serious polluter, needs to ensure that its workforce is properly trained and managed in energy efficiency, waste management and carbon emissions.

Training needs to be mainstreamed into vocational education, informal settings, and work processes. It covers key and professional environmental competences. At the heart of this new model is the creativity of human capital as a green competence which depends: on innovative solutions, efficient use of resources, sustainable entrepreneurship, adaptability, acceptance of diversity, sustainability in decision-making, cooperation, continuous learning, personal values and environmental impact.

Ways to implement are a supportive environment, creating an organizational culture to explore sustainable innovation, fostering open channels for communication, idea sharing, feedback and creative solutions for sustainable practices, training and development, programs and workshops providing employees with sustainable ideas, incentive systems that contribute to innovative ideas.

By embracing creativity as a core element of human capital, individuals and organizations can actively engage in sustainable practices and positively impact the environment and the economy.
