Cohesion policy in Bulgaria is an important instrument for supporting regional development and economic growth of the country. The aim of the policy is to reduce development disparities between different regions in Bulgaria and to improve the living standards of citizens.

Through the use of the European Union”s Structural and Investment Funds, Bulgaria receives significant financial support for various projects and programmes. This s investment in infrastructure, transport, energy, education, science, innovation and workforce training. Cohesion policy encourages the creation of new jobs, boosting business competitiveness and improving living conditions in less developed areas.
