ANALYTICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL TESTING OF THE RECUPERATIVE MODES FOR SOLARIS 27TR TROLLEYBUSES IN THE LINE SEGMENTS POWERED BY THE ‘BOYANA AND ‘MUR’ FEEDERS OF THE ‘PAVLOVO’ CURRENT-RECTIFIER STATION IN SOFIA, PART II
Martina Tomcheva, Lyubomir Sekulov The objects of the survey in the present report are the segments of the trolleybus line running along the Bratya Buxton Boulevard, Sofia, powered by the ‘Pavlovo’ current-rectifier station through the ‘Boyana’ and ‘Mur’ feeders. The electric transport vehicles (ETV), which run along this segment of the line, are trolleybus (TB) models Solaris 27Tr, which have the option for recuperative braking. The TB provide transportation service coverage for line No. 9, which pertains to the Sofia Public Transport network and is managed by Sofia Electric Transport LLC. The experimental testing was conducted under normal exploitational conditions over the period 1-7 July, 2022 in the territory of the ‘Pavlovo’ current-rectifier station. Current measurements were made (direct and reverse) through the ‘Boyana’ and ‘Mur’ feeders, and voltage measurements were taken at the common power bus. The measurements were taken simultaneously in real time, over full days, and records of the values were made within a sampling period of 100 ms. The main purpose was to determine the power consumption within this segment of the track in relation to the mode and the scheduling of ETV movements, as well as to determine the amount of the recuperative energy used in the different modes.
The present report (Part II) shows the results from the measurements of the currents at the ‘Boyana’ and ‘Mur’ feeders of the ‘Pavlovo’ current-rectifier station.
