CONCEPT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR TESTING INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES
Rosen Miletiev, Emil Iontchev, Galina Petkova This paper presents a concept for an electronic measurement system to obtain certain characteristics of internal combustion engines. Variants are proposed to solve the technical task of connecting a large number of sensors and a limited set of interfaces available to the personal computer, which are mainly locked in a USB interface. Considerations for choosing a concept are summarized and one is defined. The conditions for choosing a hardware and software platform are presented. Block diagrams are proposed for measuring motor torque using a force-to-voltage converter and measuring motor rotation frequency using an inductive sensor mounted on the motor flywheel.
