The paper presents some peculiarities with defining the valid features for assessing the qualities of wagons specialized for conveyance of intermodal transport units (ITU) as well as the methods of their definition and examination. The approach proposed can be adapted also to other types of wagons where the loads ate arranged according to different ways of load distribution.
