CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES OF THE HYDRAULIC ELECTRONIC UNIT INJECTORS

The development of diesel internal combustion engines (ICE) is associated with increasing demands to reduce the toxicity of exhaust gases and the concentration of particulate matter in them [3,4]. This determines the introduction of design improvements and new solutions in the elements of diesel fuel equipment. An innovative solution is the hydraulic electronic unit injector (HEUI), which is hydraulically driven by engine oil, which is supplied under a certain pressure by an oil pump. The control of the HEUI is through the activation of an electromagnet, built in them according to an algorithm from the main control program of the electronic control unit (ECU). Such a design must ensure precise fuel metering depending on the engine operating mode [1,2]. The combination of fuel and oil flow complicates the design of the injector [5] but has a direct impact on the efficiency of the internal combustion engine. The design features of the HEUI determine its advantages, such as injection of the cyclic portion of fuel in parts (portions), which reduces the hardness and increases the environmental friendliness of operation. There is no need for a complex camshaft and alignment of the injectors relative to it. A low noise level and absence of adjustment works on the system are achieved.
