The report examines the current status and development of road infrastructure for the period 2010 - 2020. Emphasis is placed on the completion of motorways and first-class roads, which are part of the main and extended Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), passing through the country. The complete completion of all high-class highways and national roads in our country and modernization of connections with neighboring countries along European corridors will lead to attracting new transit freight and passenger flows, increase the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy and economic growth. Speaking about road transport, the development of road infrastructure is an important factor that will have an impact on reducing delivery times, reducing fuel consumption and reducing harmful emissions to the environment.
