This report examines the results in the historical plan of FC-Varna in its part related to the railway - Ro-Ro operations between FC-Varna and the port of Caucasus. They are also affected in a small part of the operations related to Ro-Ro of heavy vehicles, as well as the potentials for development of Ferry Complex -Varna.

Comparing the data on the foreign trade relations between Bulgaria and Russia, as well as the countries of the region (Balkans and Turkey), it is impressive that over the years FC-Varna has served only imports / exports from and to Bulgaria. Whether for marketing or other reasons, the potential for development as a major transport hub for Russia is underdeveloped. For example, we can take the Ro-Ro connection Bourgas-Poti, where the achieved results are large enough to achieve weekly regularity of traffic, despite the fact that the distance between the two ports is greater.
