The report presents a deion of the stand equipment that construct the ”Braking systems in the transport equipment” laboratory in connection with the activities under the project ”Laboratory equipment for examination of braking systems and braking processes in high-speed rolling stock and metropolitan”, financed by VTU ”Todor Kableshkov”. It presents a characteristic of each of the individual stands with its purpose, device and the possibilities for scientific research, conducting of laboratory exercises and providing visibility in the study of disciplines related to vehicle braking systems. The actions undertaken to implement the project on reorganization of premises, revision of braking devices and control-measuring devices, reconstruction of pneumatic and power supply and bringing the stands in working condition are described. The study of braking systems in the transport equipment and the development of skills for working with real-life models is of particular importance for increasing the professionalism of the personnel involved in its production, operation, repair and servicing, and improving the safety of the means of transport. The stands at the disposal of the laboratory for braking systems of the transport equipment are intended both for testing the durability and performance of braking devices and for illustrating the processes occurring during braking as well as for simulating the most common faults, which could occur during operation.
