![]() TRAINING IN PROFESSIONAL FIELD 5.13 GENERAL ENGINEERING IN THE BULGARIAN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
Detelin Vasilev Professional Field 5.13 General Engineering is the field in which training is held on numerous and varied specialties in the field of technical sciences. These are above all interdisciplinary specialties, as well as those that would hardly find a place in any of the other twelve professional fields in the field of technical sciences. There is almost no higher education institution specialized in technical education, not conducting training in specialties from this professional field. This makes comparisons of training in specialties of 5.13 difficult.
In the University of Transport there is training in ”Industrial Management” degree, which is one of the most common ones in Bachelor`s degree. This is a specialty that combines technological and economic knowledge and is sought by prospective students. In the comparative study, the higher education institutions in Bulgaria, where such training is held, the basic units, as well as the number of specialties in educational qualification degrees and forms of study. Trends are considered and a vision for the future development of this professional field is offered.
