![]() ELECTRIC BUSES - TENDENCIES FOR USE IN URBAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Teodor Berov, Andrey Borisov Climate problems and increased levels of pollution in large cities changes in the use of energy, ie. the introduction of ”clean technologies”. Urban passenger transport contributes significantly to noise and air pollution in the urban area. The commissioning of electric vehicles is one way of solving these problems. Public passenger transport is a particularly promising sector for electric vehicles due to the many turnover and foreseeable on load. This paper presents the trends and possibilities for putting into operation of urban electric buses in the organization of the urban passenger transport in Bulgaria. A review of the preliminary using in the country of electric buses - models, route lines and results obtained. By using SWOT analysis provides an overview of the main advantages and disadvantages of the technology and future prospects of its development. Affected are guidelines for modeling the energy consumption and basic technological and operational problems, can bе solved. On this basis, conclusions are drawn.
