THE SUSTAINABLE RELATIONSHIP “EDUCATION - SCIENCE - BUSINESS” - A KEY FACTOR FOR THE STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT OF TODOR KABLESHKOV UNIVERSITY OF TRANSPORT

In the article, the focus is put on the perspectives for the development of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport in the current economic environment and as a result of the influence of the relationship business – education, which relationship determines the quality of education and its competitiveness.

The economic environment, together with the labor market status quo, impose the graduates to improve their qualification continuously as well as to acquire new skills and knowledge.

In the conditions of decentralized higher education and autonomy of higher schools, it is of great importance to be determined the needs and the specifics of the education. A key element in the system of education is the process of active interaction among the various subjects.

The reputation and competitiveness of higher schools at the education market are determined by the analysis and recognition of the main subjects’ needs as well as their satisfaction by the education services provided.

Todor Kableshkov University of Transport is a dynamically developing higher school with a modern education infrastructure, highly qualified academic staff, ambitious and motivated students, who are enrolled in traditional and newly accredited specialties, which are adapted to the changing needs of the national and world industry.

The achieved high results of the academic community of the university prove the ceaseless efforts of the lecturers and scientists in their teaching activities and R&D. The university is developing more actively in the relationship with the business and in the implementation of innovative approaches for the education of students in order graduates to find easier their jobs at the labor market. This fact is of great importance for the sustainable and competitive development of the higher school on the national, European and international markets.
