The article analyzes the system relations of the term “transportation and freight forwarding services”. As a predicate, it sets the number and the type of the semantic roles: subject (forwarder), consumer (client), object (cargo), actions (transportation and freight forwarding services), result (cargo delivery) and condition (freight forwarding agreement). With all the terms denoting these roles, enters the term “transportation and freight forwarding services” into associative relations. Denoting all the services carried out by the freight forwarder for the client and aimed at cargo delivery, the term “transportation and freight forwarding services” enters into partitive relations with the terms “transportation”/“freight forwarding services”. They also form system groups with associative and classification relations in them.

Comparison between the three term groups shows that the consumer (client), the object (cargo) and the result (cargo delivery) are the same.

The other members of the “transportation and freight forwarding services” group are different from the members of the “transportation” group but almost completely coincide with the members of the “freight forwarding services” group.

This is by the relations of the three services in reality explained. The transportation might be also an independent activity and has its own characteristics, but the freight forwarding services are the essence of the whole freight forwarding activity in relation to any other activity.
