DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A WIND TURBINE SYSTEM FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH GOALS

In recent years, as an alternative energy source, a variety of wind-generating systems are being used more and more widely, one being designed and developed in „Todor Kableshkov“ University of Transport. The report presents the main technical parameters and characteristics of the system. For this purpose, a three-phase synchronous generator with permanent neodymium magnets has been specially designed and made, as well as a propeller with the possibility to change the angle of the propeller attack depending on the wind speed. The peripheral auxiliaries are listed. Conditions for conducting research and experiments by PhD students and lecturers, as well as laboratory exercises with students from specialties ”EEE” and ”Electromobiles”. The wind turbine system is an outdoor stand, whose controls are located in an indoor and heated room so that the wind turbine can be monitored and controlled even under bad weather conditions.
