A STUDY OF THE EFFECTS OF PLASMA GAS NITRIDING PROCESS UPON THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF TITANIUM ALLOYS

The article submits results obtained from research into the effects of plasma gas nitriding process upon the corrosion resistance of titanium alloys Ti-8Al-1Mo-1V and Ti-6Al-4V. The analysis of these results will give a clear idea about the ability of these alloys to resist corrosive impacts of aggressive media at different temperatures.
