INTER-URBAN PASSENGER TRIPS AS PUBLIC HEALTH FACTOR

Elisaveta Bogomilova Malinova

A methodology and results from health assessment of the environmental pollution from inter-urban land passenger transport are presented in the report. The process s quantification of the air pollutants, creation of the health assessment based on the pollutants quantities and, finally, analysis of the results. The research ranges on some of the main inter-urban travel directions in Bulgaria’s transport network. A 30-years-period is examined – between 2011 and 2041. The health assessment is focused on the pollutants: nitrogen oxide, hydrocarbons and particulate matters.
