PROBLEMS OF RAILWAY TRANSPORT IN MONTANA DISTRICT (DEVELOPMENT AND STATE OF STATION DOLNO TSEROVENE)
Bozhidar Dimchov Tsanov The paper presents the results of a study on the problems of rail transport in Montana district - a development condition and needs of the population: development, state and problems of services offered to population. The study summarizes facts related to the history and present of the station of Dolno Tserovene and the consequences for travelers after being closed. The surveys made with local officials and residents of the municipalities served by the station are analyzed. It has been emphasized on disinterest of the authorities represented by the infrastructure manager and the national rail operator. This study was used as a basis of a report broadcasted on the main bTV news programme in January 2015
