Abstrakt: The BDS EN 1991-2 (clause 6.3.6.) regulates all details related to the distribution of the concentrated traffic loads by the standard ballasted track. There are no instructions how to proceed in case of the slab track implementation. The paper presents an accurate finite elements model of the slab track-bridge deck interaction. These interaction joint forces are the base of the equivalent distributed load (EDL) determination, which is more practical for the engineering calculations. The slab track and the standard track EDL parameters, due to LM71 traffic model have been compered.

The given example presents a typical one span railway concrete bridge structure. The length of the span is 40 meters. The structural analysis is made by the SAP2000 software program.
