ALGORITHMIZATION OF THE ROUTE’S FLANK PROTECTION IN INTERLOCKING

The paper is dedicated to one of the conditions for ordering safe route into interlocking - identifying and providing flank protection. An algorithm for searching and se-lection of protective flank elements for the ordered route as well as its automation through technical and software means is proposed. Algorithms for stations with complex track layout are given, when prioritization on the flank protection features is necessary. A “creeping” flank protection is proposed, which dynamic vary according the routing situation in the station.
