This paper examines the challenges faced by parents with young children when using public transport in urban environments and presents the concept of MobiMama, a digital platform designed to support accessible mobility. The study argues that transport accessibility extends beyond physical infrastructure and also s access to reliable information, independent mobility, and consideration of the diverse needs of users.

The analysis identifies three major barriers affecting parents: physical obstacles, information gaps, and structural inequalities. Particular attention is given to the concept of “mobility of care”, developed by Spanish Researcher - Ines Sánchez de Madariaga, which highlights that a significant share of daily trips is related to caregiving activities. Research indicates that approximately one quarter of public transport journeys are connected to care responsibilities, although traditional transport statistics rarely account for them.

In response to these challenges, MobiMama proposes an innovative digital solution that provides real-time accessibility information and intelligent route-planning support. The platform has the potential to improve mobility, reduce travel-related stress, and contribute to a more inclusive, user-centered, and sustainable urban transport environment.
