RESEARCH THE INFLUENCE OF AC CHARGING STATIONS FOR ELECTRIC BUSES WITH SUPERCAPACITORS ON THE POWER GRID ENERGY INDICATORS
Petar Bodurov, Lyubomir Sekulov This report analyzes the results of real measurements of the energy indicators for a certain period of time of the power supply of a charging station for electric buses powered by a super capacitor. The power supply of the electric bus charging station is three-phase low voltage. The charging station converts the AC power supply into DC current and voltage, providing the necessary power for fast charging of the super capacitor in the electric bus. The measurements presented in the report mainly relate to the charging time of the electric bus and take into account the instantaneous values of current and voltage, cosφ, THDI and THDU from the power supply side of the charging station. The measurements the charging of various electric buses of the HIGER KLQ6125GEV3 brand.
The aim is to analyze the measured values of current and voltage in terms of the influence of AC charging stations on the quality indicators of electrical energy and, more specifically, their influence on the power factor cosφ of the power supply network. The studied charging station is located on the territory of the Iskar trolleybus depot in Sofia and is one of the many serving electric buses in Sofia. It has been operated by “Stolich Elektrotransport” EAD since 2020.
