MINIMIZING THE ENERGY CONSUMED BY THE LOADING AND UNLOADING MACHINES IN INTERMODAL TERMINALS BY FINDING OPTIMAL VALUES OF THE SPEEDS FOR THE MOVEMENT OF THE INDIVIDUAL MECHANISMS

Iliyan Slavov, Boris Petkov, Galina Petkova

The report presents a possibility for minimizing the consumed electrical energy in intermodal terminals by finding optimal values of the speeds for the movement of the individual mechanisms of loading and unloading machines. An optimization procedure is considered, allowing for the selection of machines with the most appropriate speed parameters under certain operating conditions. When formulating the optimization problem, the average distances covered by the individual mechanisms for each work cycle are determined, the duration of the work operations (including those independent of the operation of the mechanisms) for each cycle is determined, the influence of transient processes during the movement of the mechanisms is taken into account. Under these conditions, the optimization is reduced to the selection of machines with such kinematic parameters that the consumed electrical energy is minimized.
