QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION – CHALLENGES AND GOOD PRACTICES

Quality management in higher education is a key factor in ensuring the competitiveness of higher education institutions, influencing the improvement of academic results and the satisfaction of students, doctoral students, and postgraduates. The article examines and clarifies issues related to the assessment and effects of the implementation of the system of quality ments, emphasizing the role of external factors and conditions in determining the level of quality. The main challenges are examined and good practices in this process are analyzed. Quality management s a set of activities and mechanisms aimed at planning, controlling, evaluating and continuously improving the educational process, scientific activity and administrative services. Quality management s an integrated approach that s cooperation with employers, implementation of competency models, effective assessment and financing systems, in line with European standards and good practices. Effective quality management in higher education s the integration of various factors, including culture, leadership and resources, in order to achieve sustainable improvement in the quality of education. Successful quality management s strategic thinking, sustainable policies and a culture of continuous improvement. Quality management aims to ensure the effectiveness, transparency and compliance of educational and scientific activity with public expectations, labor market ments and academic community standards.
