MODELS OF INTERACTION BETWEEN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRANSPORT COMPANIES
Nikolay Panayotov This report examines good practices from the European Union and Switzerland regarding effective models of interaction between education and business in the transport sector. Special attention is paid to the dual training system, successfully implemented in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which combines theoretical education with practical training in a real work environment.
The report also analyses the role of public-private partnerships (PPPs), through which joint projects between institutions and private companies are implemented – an example of this is the European initiative Shift2Rail. It also presents specific successful initiatives such as Rail Baltica and Black Sea E-mobility, which demonstrate the practical application of these models in real conditions. In conclusion, opportunities are offered for adapting good practices to Bulgarian conditions in order to increase the quality of training for transport specialists and a better connection between education and the real needs of the labor market.
