OPTIMIZATION OF SUPPLIES OF ALTERNATIVE HYDROGEN FUEL FOR VEHICLES IN UNLOADED TRAFFIC IN URBAN CONDITIONS

Vasil Vassilev, Vasil Koprivshtenov

Conventional fossil fuels, such as oil and natural gas, are a cheap and proven source of energy. However, they have a certain limit and in the near future they may be exhausted. For this reason, attention is now being paid to alternative fuels, such as electricity and hydrogen, obtained in an environmentally friendly way, which is widely recognized as a future energy carrier due to its non-polluting properties and high energy density. In order to implement hydrogen mobility, it is necessary to build an appropriate infrastructure and an optimal supply chain from the base to the charging stations. In this report, we provide an example of implementing optimal supplies of ecological hydrogen in Sofia, including the selection of transport vehicles and their schedule. A model for the transportation of hydrogen from a local base in the capital to potential locations of hydrogen vehicle charging stations has been built, using different methods.
