ANALYSIS AND SUGGESTIONS FORIMPROVING THE REPAIR PROCESS OF SKID STEER LOADER

Boris Tanev

In modern construction, skid steer loaders are widely used due to their compact size, versatility, and ability to operate in confined spaces. They are involved in a variety of tasks – from loading and unloading operations to finishing work on construction sites.

Subjected to intensive use, these machines regular repairs and technical maintenance. In practice, however, a number of challenges are observed in the repair process. The most common issue is accurate and timely diagnostics, which heavily depend on the technical expertise of the mechanics and the availability of diagnostic equipment.

Another significant problem is the delay between fault identification and the actual execution of the repair, often caused by difficulties in locating, ordering, and delivering the necessary spare parts. This leads to prolonged machine downtime, which disrupts work schedules and results in financial losses.

This report aims to analyze the current state of the repair process for skid steer loaders and to propose realistic measures for its improvement, including reducing repair time and implementing automated solutions for diagnostics and parts management.
