DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AUTOMATIC CONTROL PANEL FOR THE VENTILATION OF CNC WOODWORKING MACHINES

The paper presents the design and implementation of an electrical control panel for the automatic control of a ventilation system serving three independent CNC woodworking machines. The purpose of the automation system is to open and close the airflow from the operating machines to a central filtration unit, preventing the ingress of dust particles from operating machines into non-operating ones.

The process is activated by the switching on or off of any of the three machines independently, and according to a predefined algorithm, the system controls the cleaning (shaking) mechanism of the mechanical filters. In addition, a rotary airlock is controlled for collecting fine dust particles after the cleaning process into a dedicated storage container.
