ВЛИЯНИЕ НА ГОРЕЩИТЕ ВЪЛНИ ВЪРХУ ПЪТНОТРАНСПОРТНИТЕ ПРОИЗШЕСТВИЯ

Отчитайки значителната вероятност от увеличаване на броя дни с екстремно високи температури на въздуха, породена от климатичните промени, за обществото е от изключителна важност да се вземат превантивни мерки за смекчаване на последствията от това неблагоприятно явление. Цел на тази статия е да обобщи провежданите от световната научна общност изследвания относно влиянието на горещите вълни върху транспорта и в частност – пътнотранпортните произшествия.
Почти всички изследвания свидетелстват за това, че горещите вълни могат да увеличат риска от неочаквани наранявания и пътни инциденти. Това важи особено за катастрофи, породени от фактори като разсейване, грешка на водача, умора или сънливост. Високите температури са важен фактор, водещ до увеличаване на стреса и намаляване способността за изпълнение на интелектуални задачи, както и такива, изискващи значително физическо усилие и моторни умения. Горещите вълни причиняват нарушения на съня, което може да доведе до по-голяма умора във водачите на пътя. През топлото полугодие трафикът е по-интензивен и скоростта – по висока, което също е предпоставка за по-голям брой ПТП.
Представената информация ще спомогне за улесняване на обществения диалог по тематиката, както и осъществяване на политики и мерки по смекчаване на това вредно климатично влияние от страна на различни институции и обществени организации.
